2017 Academia Sinica Fellowships for Doctoral Candidates in the Humanities and Social Sciences
This Fellowship is intended to assist, both financially and academically, the Ph.D. candidates to complete their Ph.D. dissertations in these fields. By offering these fellowships, Academia Sinica hopes the recipients to become familiar with the research projects and focus in the fields of humanities and social sciences within Academia Sinica.
The 2017 Academia Sinica (AS) Fellowships for Doctoral Candidates in the Humanities and Social Sciences (the Fellowships) are now accepting applications. Interested applicants should refer to “Guidelines for Academia Sinica Fellowships for Doctoral Candidates in the Humanities and Social Sciences,” and submit an application package, including an official transcript, a research plan, reprints of publications, a curriculum vitae, and two letters of recommendation from the applicant’s affiliated institution, to a host institute or research center in the Division of Humanities and Social Sciences at AS. Note that one applicant may submit only one application, and the Fellowships are currently unavailable to citizens of the People’s Republic of China.
During the fellowship, the selected applicants should spend at least two to three days a week at AS to work on their doctoral dissertation with an advisor from the host institute or research center.

- Consult the institutes or research centers for application deadlines. Many institutes indicate 1st March 2017.
